About

Lets Talk Trauma NI/Ireland is an unaffiliated, free service/ministry established to bless the Church across the island of Ireland. It was established to answer the cry/plea of individuals who have felt that their church was unable to help them through difficult and traumatic circumstances such as childhood sexual abuse, rape, domestic violence, emotional abuse, and exploitation- to name a few.

The aim of this website and ministry is to give survivor-victims a voice to freely express their experiences, not to “church-bash”, to but to provide space for people to listen to these often marginalised voices.

Additionally, we aim to provide constructive and helpful resources to equip churches in engaging with people who have suffered trauma in a more compassionate, dignified, supportive and caring way. This work is complimented by a network of professionals and experts- including experts through experience!

It is the belief of this ministry that the Church should be the centre of care for the abused, broken, afflicted and oppressed, and that expressing love and care for our brothers and sisters in Christ constitutes an important act of witness to the watching world- a point most poignantly embodied by the words of Jesus Christ

“By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

John 13:35
